Welcome to Renmore, Galway

Renmore is a mature residential area east of Galway City and is bounded by the Dublin Road to the north and extends south to Galway Bay. Comprising of over 2,000 dwelling units, Renmore boasts a full range of educational, health and recreational facilities of which we are proud with extensive open spaces and playing facilities. There is a strong community spirit in Renmore, which has been fostered and built over a long time. We have clubs and associations that are very active – Soccer, Gaelic Football, Hurling, Athletics, Scouts, Community Games, Active Retirement activities to name but a few. This encourages the community to take pride in the area and to maintain facilities for the young and old. We have always been active in acquiring new facilities and maintaining existing facilities with good assistance from Galway City Council. Renmore Residents Association unveiled two plaques to mark the official naming of the open spaces in the centre of Renmore as Nolan Park and to mark Renmore’s success in the National Pride of Place Awards 2008.
